Life Admin · For drivers and multi-car households

Vehicle renewal reminders: MOT, tax and insurance in view.

Keep the important dates for your cars and vans together, including insurance renewals that are easy to overlook when you only track the MOT.

One place for the dates behind each vehicle

A multi-car household can have several MOTs, different insurance renewal dates and separate tax arrangements. Life Admin gives each vehicle its own record and brings upcoming and overdue dates into an overview.

MOT dates

Keep the recorded test deadline alongside the vehicle it belongs to. Check the official record when you need to confirm the status.

Tax dates

See your recorded vehicle tax dates with the rest of the vehicle’s admin, rather than keeping another separate note.

Insurance renewals

Save the provider and renewal date. Give yourself time to review cover and compare a renewal offer before deciding what to do.

For the family car, the second car and the work van

The demo contains three fictional vehicles with different deadlines. Open it to see how the same screen can highlight one vehicle’s MOT and another vehicle’s insurance renewal. You can explore the example records without entering your own registration numbers.

In your account, use clear vehicle names and check the dates against the relevant records. A vehicle that you sell should also be removed from your reminder routine so that old entries do not distract from the vehicles you still use.

Why use an app when free MOT reminders exist?

GOV.UK offers free MOT reminders by text or email, normally one month before a car, van or motorcycle’s test is due. It is a useful option if that is all you need. Northern Ireland has different arrangements.

Life Admin’s purpose is to bring more of your admin together: insurance and tax dates for your vehicles alongside property certificates, household renewals and company filings. Decide whether that combined picture is useful for you by trying the demo.

Build a renewal routine that gives you time

  1. Add each vehicle you manage.
  2. Check and record its MOT, tax and insurance information.
  3. Set reminders early enough to make arrangements or review a quote.
  4. After a test or renewal, confirm that the stored information reflects the new date.

A reminder is a prompt to act. It does not arrange cover, tax a vehicle or guarantee that it is road legal. Better visibility can help you make timely decisions; savings depend on your circumstances and choices.

Questions about vehicle reminders

Can I track more than one vehicle?
